From the creator of NEW GAME, Shotaro Tokuno, IDOL x IDOL STORY began serialization on Comic Fuz in August 2022 and reached English readers through Seven Seas Entertainment in April 2025. Mimi Nagisa, a 22-year-old former idol who gave up on her dream after her group Stella disbanded, crosses paths with Ibuki Nanakusa, the rising idol who was inspired by Mimi's past performances. Together they enter the Super Star Ship audition, a high-stakes elimination competition where only five spots exist for sixteen candidates.
