Copyright Dispute Policy – Otaku Japan Store


In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Otaku Japan Store has implemented the following policy regarding copyright infringement. We reserve the right to:

 

  • Remove or disable access to any content that we, in good faith, believe infringes copyright laws or has been unlawfully distributed by users, partners, sellers, or affiliates.

 


Use of Otaku Japan Store services is subject to our Terms of Service, which incorporate this Copyright Policy. Any terms not defined here shall have the meanings provided in the Terms of Service.

 

How to Report Copyright Infringement


If you believe that any material available on or through our services infringes your copyright (or that of someone you are authorized to represent), please send a written notice including the following information to our Designated Agent at:

Your notice must include:

 

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner;

  • A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law;

  • Your contact information (including full name, address, phone number, and email, if available);

  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

 

 

What Happens Next


Upon receipt of a valid copyright complaint, Otaku Japan Store may:

 

  • Remove or restrict access to the allegedly infringing content;

  • Notify the user responsible for the content.

 

 

How to File a Counter-Notice


If you believe that your content was removed or disabled due to an error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including:

 

  • Your physical or electronic signature;

  • Identification of the content that has been removed or disabled and its previous location;

  • A statement made in good faith that the content was removed or restricted as a result of a mistake or misidentification;

  • Your name, address, phone number, and email (if available).

 


If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may inform the original complainant and, unless legal action is initiated, restore the removed content within 10–14 business days at our discretion.
